Feb 07, 2012 · I am experiencing the same issue with Cisco VPN client 5.0.07.0290. Windows 7 SP1 x64 bit OS. When I start the VPN Client (no dialog appears) (Have tried to start this multiple ways) Start the Task Manager. The VPN client is NOT present on the Applications tab to right click on it and Maximize it. The VPNgui.exe service does not appear. You could be using the same IP address scheme (ie: 192.168.xx.yy) and the remote Cisco VPN networkr. Run the VPN Client software setup file with a ‘/quiet’ switch on it (as below). it will look like nothing is happening, go and have a coffee, then reboot and try to reinstall.
